Why an advising day you ask? one might think it is to honor advisors, such as myself, however that is not what advising day is.
i happen to think that "every day is advising day" but SFSU likes to make one special day each semester where classes are cancelled and students are expected to come to campus solely for advising. ultimately, however, most students interpret this day as an extra day off for things such as sleeping in or sailing.

That's actually so sad...Don't these kids know how much they need us!! Don't they know they can't make it without our help?? WHATS WRONG WITH THE YOUTH OF TODAY!!!! DONT THEY KNOW WHATS GOOD FOR THEM????
OK, just had a momentary flashback to when I was an undergrad. I'm sure I woulda been asleep til noon...guess I can't blame the poor bastards...
You were right, sailing on lake Merrit was excellent, the waffle house (Merrit Gourmet Food) made me a little sick, why did I eat waffles and fried chicken? why?
