I did it!

i fulfilled my '06 resolution with hours to spare! thanks to my cousin Amy (aka. lil p. one) for guiding me. YUMMERS!

New Years Resolution tradition

for new years '04-'05 i began a tradition. i decided that instead of making promises to work out more or be nicer to other people (i'm already gosh darn nice i think) i was going to make new years resolutions to learn how to cook new things.

my first resolution was to learn how to make vegetarian chili. turns out that it took me the entire year to actually bring that resolution to life! for '05-'06 my resolution was to learn how to make homemade granola. now, of course i couldn't break my tradition of waiting the whole year to complete my task.

i bought the granola ingredients today... and now you know what i'll be baking tomorrow before i head out on the town!!!

EARTHQUAKE!

i just felt an earthquake! the internet is calling it a 3.7 but let me tell you... on the 2nd floor of a house built in 1906 it felt like a BIG one to me! yikes i was scared!

i have felt quakes in the past that were slower and sort of rolling, but this one was a violent quick jolt. i've never been so scared in an earthquake before actually. maybe it spooked me because i was alone... or because the epicenter felt really close to me (which it was -- less than 2 miles away).

Veggies = Smart

i may have gone to public universities, but according to this study i could have a higher IQ than the average person because i'm a vegetarian! ha! :)

excitement at Evans Hall

today at UC Berkeley the fire alarm went off in Evans Hall. at first we thought it was a prank because final exams are going on, but once we evacuated the building we saw a lot of smoke (or steam) coming from the building. we never learned what it was but it was fun to watch the fire department check it out.

Hannukah Dinner Party

Guess who?

I arrived late last night at my Grandparent's place in Chicago. As I was unpacking my clothes it was obvious who had most recently been there just by what was still left in the drawers. Here you see a White Sox 2005 Champions beenie, a Cereality punchcard, and a Victoria's Secret bra tag. Ha!

Wiinjury!

the other night we were victims of a wiinjury... or for those of you who are not familiar with the wii this is an injury that occurs while playing the wii. here is a website with a wonderful breakdown of the various injuries one can experience while playing the wii.



we endured a wiimote collision! or, if you are looking at the above mentioned website it would probably classify as a backhand slash (example image shown above). compared to others highlighted on "wii have a problem" dot com, our crash was pretty tame.
