where am i this week?

i started my new job today! sorry if this week is low on new blog posts.

I've landed a new job!

Why not announce this now? It's as good a time as any! My contract with the School of Social Welfare at UC Berkeley is up at the end of this month, and lucky for me the perfect position at the Psychology Department opened up. I will be a Student Affairs Officer there starting in late May. Woo hoo!!! Go Bears!

Working in the Admissions Dept right after an application deadline = Opening A LOT of mail on your first day at work

excitement at Evans Hall

today at UC Berkeley the fire alarm went off in Evans Hall. at first we thought it was a prank because final exams are going on, but once we evacuated the building we saw a lot of smoke (or steam) coming from the building. we never learned what it was but it was fun to watch the fire department check it out.
