Today we drove down to to Castoro Cellars in Paso Robles, CA where Lindsay and Luis will get married tomorrow. Paso is gorgeous! It's like a little Napa of the Central Coast.



We lined up, walked in, walked out, walked back in and then back out. I think we got it down.

One half of my New Years resolution was accomplished tonight, which is pretty early in the year if you know me.

Typically, on January first, I make a resolution to cook something new, but then it takes me approximately 11 months to achieve it. This year I chose two new dishes to cook, and tonight I made the first one...

It's May, YAY!

It's May 1st and I'm sooooooooo glad! You know that summer is right around the corner when the Stern Grove schedule comes out!


Now, if you know me, you know that I am not excited for summer for the same reasons most people are. I don't like hot weather or the beach or anything like that. I do love, however, my job at Berkeley ending, my fiancé finishing his thesis and graduating, going back to school, and moving to start our new life in Palo Alto. Bring it on summertime!

Hello Passover... goodbye cupcakes

For dinner last night we had pizza, for breakfast we had granola. Bagels for lunch and a pink cupcake to top it off. How's that for a "wheat finale?"

I have a feeling this will be a very long week. :)

My 30th Birthday Party in Berkeley

Yes, I turned 30 on Monday, but my birthday didn't feel complete without a celebration with my friends in Berkeley. We started in the median (yes, the middle of the road) eating slice after slice of Cheeseboard pizza.





Then we moved inside to have some tea and warm up at the Imperial Tea Court in the back of the Epicurious Garden.




The crowd thinned but the party carried on at the Parkway Speakeasy Theater in Oakland. This place has couches and serves pizza and beer, so we snuggled up and watched Jack Black's Be Kind Rewind.

Home is where the cat is (or cats, in this case)
