Seacliff
We decided to take advantage of some of San Francisco's most beautiful things, since it was such a gorgeous day. I mean, how many hours of San Francisco sun can two people waste just building furniture!? :)

Sorry... again
sorry again readers... i know that the last time i committed blog neglect i said it would never happen again. well, that was before i knew what my life would be like while working 40 hours a week and living in an empty apartment.
don't worry faithful readers. at some point in the hopefully near future i will post pictures and write a little something about my new apartment and new job.
does anyone know of a place where i can get a decent kitchen table and chairs for a decent price? and think "torrey standards" here when making suggestions, ok? no pottery barn or crate and barrel ideas. i'm much too lame when it comes to interior design and much too into cheap shit to appreciate those sorts of nice things... i also won't get off on spending that kind of money. :) thanks!

going away party
tonight we had a little congrats on your new job/going away party at Marieta's. the food was super yummy but the best part was the group. most of my "key players" were there. it was great. everyone kept saying "happy birthday" though, which was weird. i told them to knock it off, i didn't want free flan anyways.

Wonka wonka!
tonight i finally saw this movie. i enjoyed it even though some people didn't like it after the original. i went with a different mind set. i was just super curious as to how they were going to use new computer technology to pull off some of the original effects. violet turning into the blueberry was my favorite.
other review opinions... johnny depp was fantastically freaky... the one oompa loompa regenerated over and over was just plain wrong. could they only afford one actor!? sheesh!

so i was at my Dads office and i asked my brother if i could use a computer... he set me up in their conference room with some wireless keyboard and the computer screen being some huge flat screen thing hovering up near the ceiling! um, yeah, not a great place to read cute little nothings that one receives via email.

SORRY!
So, here I am apologizing to all of my faithful readers. I was having problems over the last few days getting my blogger tools to work. I don't know if it was Picasa or Hello or Blogger or what... but I was unable to post any pictures.
Now that blogger has seemed to create a way to add pictures directly, I am trying that. I'm not sure how I feel about some of the layout options, but I'm going back day by day to catch all of you up on the happenings in my life and testing the new tool.

stern grove
On my last day in the Bay Area we decided to check out Stern Grove. We didn't go so much for the music as much for the whole scene of it. Just a sweet reminder that San Francisco is the best city in the whole wide world! There is always something great going on. Look at all of the people filling in amongst the trees up the hill!

a little concert
We went to the Epic Arts Center in Berkeley on Saturday night to see a fantastic musician. I saw Lindsay Mac for the first time in Nashville when I was on my cross country road trip with Monica. Her music touched me so much that night that I was just hoping she'd make it to the Bay Area some time this summer. And, she did! We LOVED the show!
Farmer's Market in Oakland
On Saturday we made it, but barely, to the Farmer's Market in Oakland on Grand Ave underneath the 580 overpass. It was GREAT! We found fresh fruits and veggies, fresh squeezed juice, there were too many things to choose from. The bread we got was disappointing, so avoid that if you ever go there.

Twins game
On Friday night we went to the Twins game in Oakland. They beat the A's... YAY! And we saw cool fireworks. Honestly, probably the best fireworks I've ever seen, much better than 4th of July crap. It was also super entertaining watching the fans rush the field to camp out for the post game show.
