Shakespeare statue in Lincoln Park

Dani and Aviva each express how they were moved when we found this statue of Mozart, I mean, Shakespeare.

At the Shedd Aquarium

A Chicago tradition!

We met Zack at Lou Mitchell's for lunch on Friday. The girls got Milk Duds but the boys didn't. It was awesome.

Look, who's stealing cake?

Shows are returning... in a month

It seems that according to ABC.com my favorite shows will be back on in late April. Both Brothers & Sisters and Grey's Anatomy return in a little over 4 weeks! I was sad to learn, however, that Private Practice won't be on again until the fall. And I was just getting into it!

It's Easter, YAY!

I think I must be the only Jew who loves Easter. But, I love it for Jew-friendly reasons. Easter has the best candy, everything is in pastels! And, Easter has cute little bunnies and cute little chickens, and colorful eggs... oh, and Peeps Dioramas! Check them out.

Go see this movie

Persepolis is SO GOOD!

Now I have two famous cats!

We all remember when Emerson Grace became famous on Stuff On My Cat dot com, and now it is Stuart's turn!

PS. They corrected Emerson's post by reposting it and calling her Emerson Grace instead of Stuart.

Note to self...

...never again fly across the country with a head cold. two connections (meaning 3 take-offs and landings) is a horrible experience! my ears closed up so tightly that i was practically deaf when we got home. ouch. anyone have any ideas as to how i can open up my ears?

The aftermath

After a fun filled Florida weekend the sore throat I had been battling decided to turn into a full blown head cold. Just perfect for a long day of flying back to California. Grrrrr. Cough, cough, sniff sniff.

Lyndsay and Andrew's wedding

It was a picture perfect wedding on the beach, like something you see in a movie.

The proud Mother and Step-Dad of the bride: Lana and Harvey. So happy!

The Freemans: Dave, Harvey, Laura and Lana.

Sitting by the pool

This is the resort where we're staying. Isn't it lovely?

This is what we do by the pool...

On a mission for some key lime pie and other things

When in Key West, make sure to find the best key lime pie. Let me save you some time... the best key lime pie is at the Blonde Giraffe. So, of course we had to go there and visit the factory where they make it.

And we couldn't forget to visit Kermit for a photo op.

Key West Butterfly Conservatory

We started our day at the Butterfly Conservatory. It was gorgeous and there were thousands of butterflies flying around!

You can sort of see a blue butterfly zooming by in that picture below.

Here, a real butterfly (the brown one) has landed on my shoulder to meet and make friends with the fake butterfly (the blue one) that had been stuck on me by an employee when we arrived.

This little one was one of many that held still long enough for it's picture to be taken.

An evening in Key West, FL

Dave, Laura, Josh and I spent the evening strolling around Key West. First, we needed some "walking around" beers...

Then we caught the sunset...

Then we grabbed some dinner at Kelly's.

Josh ate a really big fish.
