i love our cats

Sometimes the best place to nap is the laundry basket.

What? You're trying to have some "alone time" in the bathroom? Well, I've decided I need the bathroom rug... now.

Go TWINS!

We went to a rainy Twins vs. A's game tonight. At least the Twins won so it didn't feel so bad to get a little wet.

You can click here for a live recording of the show! Dave and I are both singing, not that you can hear us, but just know we were there.

Hello Passover... goodbye cupcakes

For dinner last night we had pizza, for breakfast we had granola. Bagels for lunch and a pink cupcake to top it off. How's that for a "wheat finale?"

I have a feeling this will be a very long week. :)

My 30th Birthday Party in Berkeley

Yes, I turned 30 on Monday, but my birthday didn't feel complete without a celebration with my friends in Berkeley. We started in the median (yes, the middle of the road) eating slice after slice of Cheeseboard pizza.

Then we moved inside to have some tea and warm up at the Imperial Tea Court in the back of the Epicurious Garden.

The crowd thinned but the party carried on at the Parkway Speakeasy Theater in Oakland. This place has couches and serves pizza and beer, so we snuggled up and watched Jack Black's Be Kind Rewind.

Our last day in Montréal

Our day began by visiting Marché Jean-Talon for some yummy sandwiches, fresh fruit, bread, jam and cheese.

Then we took our grub and decided to hike up to the top of Mont Royal for some amazing views of the city. As you can see from the pictures, it was still quite snowy up there.

And, finally, to complete the evening we strolled around the cute neighborhood called Plateau Mont-Royal and had a lovely french dinner.

Old Montréal

When people say that Montréal is like Europe, they mean that Old Montréal is like Europe. Everywhere else seems like Canada to us.

GO HABS GO!

When in Montréal...

Biodome

Something I really wanted to do on my birthday, but we arrived in Montréal too late in the day, was to go to the Biodome. We saw Penguins, Monkeys, Piranhas, a sleeping Porcupine, a dangerous River Otter and many other animals!
