Ever heard of College News Magazine?

My freaking awesome cousin Zack is the head editor so it's automatically a great mag. The first issue just came out with stories ranging from his experiences backstage at the Jerry Springer show to a recap of the best music acts to see live, a winter movie and video game preview and articles on fashion, dating, comedy, college sports and more.

Because the Internet is so cool you can actually flip through the magazine at collegenews.com/mag and if you want a free hard copy mailed to you just e-mail Zack at Teibs84@gmail.com. Thanks faithful blog readers!

Um, a one million dollar bill? Ha! Maybe this is why Dave hates that I read Yahoo News?

Ah my lovely Choco Cro!

Last night I was reunited with my favorite thing from our trip to Japan... a Choco Cro. Oh my gosh people, I never thought I was going to have one again! But, who knew? The only place in the US that is now serving these amazing Japanese delicacies is in the Valley! Good thing we were in Long Beach for Thanksgiving and our good friends Marissa and Ethan were up for a hilarious mission. Thanks guys!

Videos from our performance!!! Check 'em out.

You won't be able to see me and Dave because the videos are a bit blurry, but you'll be able to hear us singing Mozart's Requiem! Well, not "us" per se, but our choir. We rocked! :)

Really really cute little girl

it is very important that you have sound on for this one... and you might not want to watch it at work if your coworkers/boss will be offended by the "a word" for donkey. :)

My favorite kitchen trick

I have to give Ethan Becker credit for this one...

If you're not sure if your eggs are still good just fill a bowl of water and submerge them. If they float they're no good, and if they sink they're totally fine!

It really works. It saved me today at lunch time. Try it out!

A Berkeley-ish Saturday

After having brunch with friends at Fat Apples we stopped at the Berkeley Farmers Market. Good thing we beat the rain!

It actually didn't happen

After last year's Castro Street Halloween Party turned dangerous, the city claimed it was going to cancel festivities. No one believed this would actually happen since each year this annual street party brings in hundreds of thousands of the most colorfully dressed people.

Luckily I attended this street party every year from 2000 to 2005 (I just happened to miss the event last year when 9 people were shot there). So, when the party canceling was announced we were not surprised, but we all assumed people would go out there anyway. A few hundred supposedly did, but compared to previous years the area was dead. No pun intended. Read the article on SFGate.com to learn more.

It's November 1st so of course...

There is going to be a "new month" post. This time I'm not going to say things like, "I can't believe it's already November, can you?" You're darn right it's November! Not that I'm glad about it necessarily. October is my favorite month and now I have to wait a whole year for it again, but, really, I'm fine with it being November. I think once it's February I'll be freaking out a bit.
