Ah my lovely Choco Cro!

Last night I was reunited with my favorite thing from our trip to Japan... a Choco Cro. Oh my gosh people, I never thought I was going to have one again! But, who knew? The only place in the US that is now serving these amazing Japanese delicacies is in the Valley! Good thing we were in Long Beach for Thanksgiving and our good friends Marissa and Ethan were up for a hilarious mission. Thanks guys!

it was so so so so good. if you're anywhere near LA head out to the valley and find this place in the Topanga Canyon mall.

Hey there - I'm from the east coast and have been hunting down these divine little pastries for nearly 4 years! I'm so glad that they finally made it to the US. I tried to call the cafe yesterday to see if they would ship to me, but I got no answer on the phone. If you have any info on how I can get my hands on them out here, I would appreciate it SO SO much. My email is frantwo@hotmail.com.

Thanks!

Hello fellow admirer of Choco Cro. You can imagine how overwhelmed with joy I was when I learned of Choco Cro being available in California. I live in Berkeley but my family lives in the LA area so I knew I'd be making a visit to this Choco Cro shop as soon as possible.

Let me explain how this cafe is... first off, it is in a mall. The little "cafe" is wedged between a starbucks and hot dog on a stick in a mall food court or something. These lucky LA mall goers have no appreciation for these delightful warm chocolatey things. Also, the people who work there aren't too bright. I am sure they won't be able to ship any to you, they wouldn't even take my coupon because I printed it off the website and they thought it was a forged photocopy.

Also, when a friend who was with me asked for the ingredients list (because she has a peanut allergy) they said to her, "lady, we don't know what the ingredients are, everything is written in Japanese!"

Um, ok.

So, you're just going to have to find an excuse to visit LA, rent a car, and drive all the way out to this mall in the Valley. I mean, hey, it's closer than Tokyo. Good luck!

Hi there, I've created the Chococro Fran group on Facebook. I'm just back from Tokyo.

The world needs to know how delicious that stuff is :)
