i love this holiday... we went to the Castro, like always... dressed as Tetris we were like celebrities! it was great. everyone recognized us and wanted pictures of us in the street.
muni was a fiasco but we survived. we were stuck in the tunnel for almost an hour and crazy costumed kids were opening the doors, getting out, and walking in the tunnel. not cool, no cool. also, i dodged some puddles of puke in the church street station. i was only semi traumatized.
sounds like halloween, doesn't it?

Bi-Sox-ual
so, i've been meaning to blog about this for a few days and just now over the weekend found the time. my Dad brought to my attention a new phrase coined due to the upcoming world series with the white sox and the astros. we all seem to know some cubs fans who are extremely loyal fans for the cubbies against their city rival the white sox. however, these days they love the white sox. they are called Bi-Sox-uals.

My best friend from high school, Heather, or as I call her, Spyder, is getting married tomorrow. Or, technically later today I guess. But, my regular blog readers already knew this because I was at her bridal shower and bachelorette party a couple of weeks ago.
Anyways, her soon to be husband, Eddie wanted a Lego wedding cake. His grandmother made this little lego wedding cake topper. I just had to share it with you all... and Julian specifically because he loves legos.

Friday "feel good" message
In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older. And, there on television, she said it was "exciting." Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day...like her breasts. They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first. The audience laughed so hard they cried. She is such a simple and honest woman, with so much wisdom in her words!

a new month
