Happy Birthday Dave!

Today, 12/12, my Dave turns 26.

Of course I shouldn't have even tried to plan a surprise dinner for him, we all know how Tor is when it comes to surprises... it's very very hard for her to keep the secret... mainly out of sheer excitement.

Anyways, I was doing such a good job... I only had about 24 hours to go until our dinner reservation at Rivoli. Then, of course, as I am listening to my voicemail on Sunday afternoon, and my Dave has his head up really close near mine, he hears the restaurant calling to confirm the reservation. Doh! :( I'm an idiot. Oh well, it's the thought that counts, right? Or, wait, it's actions speak louder than words, right? Shit.

I'm not sure if I should announce this here because it's still very early in the process... but I got a new job! I will be a part-time Academic Advisor at the Student Resource Center for the College of Health and Human Services at SFSU. I did my second year grad school internship here, and I am very excited to be going back!

This is me and Monica having some pizza in the tower. We got a good look at the city of Trondheim. Notice the sun is setting already... um yeah, we were having lunch.


Here I am helping Daniel scrape ice off of Monica's car. The little red ladybug was even cuter in person! :) "Where are your gloves, California girl?"


And, here I'm getting excited about this wee cheese grater. I learned that it is not actually for cheese... but it's still super cute.
