I've landed a new job!

Why not announce this now? It's as good a time as any! My contract with the School of Social Welfare at UC Berkeley is up at the end of this month, and lucky for me the perfect position at the Psychology Department opened up. I will be a Student Affairs Officer there starting in late May. Woo hoo!!! Go Bears!

Birthday dinner

And, a new kitty came into our lives... her name is Gracie. If we decide to keep her though, we may need to change that. Right now we are thinking Emerson is a cute name. :)

my special pancake mix was expired, stuart killed my plant gnome, i burned my stomach leaning over the griddle, and dave accidentally broke the kitty water dish... and all of this before 12noon.

One more year in my 20's

today i turn 29. you know, it's interesting because it is the first time a birthday has come and i haven't been thrilled about the age. what's up with that? I mean, after 21 there isn't too much to be excited about, but i loved 25, 26, and 27. so far i've heard that 29 isn't so bad, so i'm hopeful, but not exactly ecstatic about this one yet.

our silly little lovely Lilah went back to the rescue organization in order to get fixed and adopted. therefore we have a new baby kitten with us. her name is Marvella. i'll post more pics as soon as i have them.

survival of the matzah-i-est

i have survived yet another passover. ah. it felt so good to have a tortilla tonight. the simple things in life are so sweet, aren't they?

some of you may remember how my passover went last year. i had one little slip up, but overall i did pretty well. this year, other than eating the frosting and berries around the cake part of a wedding cake (ok so maybe some crumbs got in, but i made an effort to avoid them) i made it all the way through.

kudos to me and everyone else who did it. you know who you are. :)
