Day 2: Seoul, Korea

We met up with our friend Matt and went out for Indian food!

After a long day of conference talks we decided to explore Itaewon, a neighborhood in Seoul that is known as "little USA" because of the American shops there. This area is also greatly influenced by the US military presence.

For lunch we explored the neighborhood of Insadong where we had lunch at an all-vegetarian Korean Temple Food restaurant, Sanchon. YUM!

Dave couldn't resist partaking in the

"something" on a stick street food craze.

We were extremely entertained by this massive ball of fruits and vegetables as a street sculpture. And some onlookers were extremely entertained by how entertained we were with it.

We also explored the large and gorgeous Gyeongbokgung palace grounds. Can you tell that it is extremely humid? We are super sweaty in every picture.

And, yes, we all know how I love cereal. Not only did we find more cool cereal boxes, we also found digital price tags!

Hello from Seoul, Korea

We arrived safely in Seoul, Korea on Thursday night. It's Friday morning and we're about to eat breakfast before a day of exploring. More pictures to come!
