Gopher Girl

And so starts my life as a Gopher. My first online class at UMN started yesterday. I wasn't in student mode yet so I dropped the ball a bit, but I spent all morning today catching up. I watched online videos and read lecture notes online, and I even posted on bulletin boards. It's crazy how quickly student mode can kick back in. It's like riding a bike!

Our future apartment

We spent the day around Stanford getting some things taken care of to prepare for our move down there. I took a few cute pics of our little Palo Alto apartment for you all to see.

The first picture is of the cute tree lined sidewalk in front of our building. Our unit is on the middle/second floor. That's our balcony in the trees! The bottom picture is of the garage area behind our apartment. I'll post more pictures once we move in of course.

Role reversal

Last night as we were getting ready for bed, we were commenting on the fact that Dave is no longer a student. He has been a student since pre-kindergarden and this is the first time ever that he won't be. As we were having this discussion I checked my UMN email and my first readings/homework assignment was waiting in my inbox. How's that for a shifting of roles!

My job is over

Today was my last day working for the Psychology Department at UC Berkeley. I'm excited for what's ahead, but I will miss some of you. It's been swell ladies! I'll be back for long summer lunches.

The thesis was submitted TODAY!

He may have been too busy writing his thesis to learn about colored M&M's, but all of that is about to change. Dave submitted his thesis today!!! Congrats my love!
