Such a klutz

Have you ever done this, smashed your fingers in a door? Well, it hurts like a b*tch! My afternoon plans got totally messed up when I was running out my front door and the wind blew the door shut on two of my fingers. Holy crap it hurt!!! The swelling and throbbing has gone down, but my finger nails are starting to turn black. Now I'm just hoping I don't loose both of my nails! Ugh.

Memorial Day weekend

I don't have any pictures at the moment, but in case you're wondering, I've had a very relaxing Memorial Day weekend so far! Yesterday I spent the day at the beach with Marc, Bea and Nico. Today I joined John and Jessica at Karen and Glenn's house for a Memorial Day brunch! YUM!

After much grey and rain the Bay Area was blessed with some amazing late May weather. Ahhhhhhhh. :)

I am officially a Certified Parent Educator

For the past two years I've been taking online courses through the University of Minnesota to become a parent educator. Tonight I turned in my last final, and so now I'm officially a Certified Parent Educator! WOO HOO! Time to get out there and support those parents at being the best and most amazing parents they can be!

New kitty bed

Mom and dad got us a new green kitty bed to snuggle in. Because we like to snuggle together, they got us one to share, but I'm claiming it.


Then, when I wasn't looking, my sister got in it and wouldn't share!


Um, I don't think so little sister. It's my bed.


I think it's time for mom and dad to take another trip to the pet store to get a second bed. Good thing they learned these things before having human babies!

Double Graduation!

First John graduates and then Jess! Both on the same day! Now they are team PhD/MBA! WOO HOO! Congrats guys.

An adequate stand-in???

Last week Dave went to Amsterdam without me. He had a workshop he was running and I was swamped with finals, so I missed out. My friends threw a Cinco de Mayo party and the good ole sombrero made an appearance. I wish I could have been there!

Babies - The Movie (I saw it!)

I highly recommend this movie! It was very well done and extremely interesting to see how babies grow up in different parts of the world. The perspective is that of the babies themselves, so it's super cute and enthralling. I loved seeing some of the similarities between the four babies, despite their drastically different home environments. And, there were lots of kitties in the movie! So for all of you babies + kitties lovers, you're in for an extra treat.

Dear month of May,

I know by the time you come to an end everything will be great, but right now you're a very overwhelming month to deal with. (FINALS!!!) I'm not sure I'm ready for you. But, if I have to get through you to get to June, then so be it.
