Our rings
Many people are asking to see our rings, so here they are! Dave and I decided that we both wanted engagement rings, so we went shopping together spontaneously one day after we were already engaged.
Both of these rings are silver, but don't worry all of you traditional diamond fans... we're having a diamond engagement ring made for me with a diamond from a ring my Mother gave me. I'll post pics of that ring once it exists.

Guess what?? We got engaged!
Yes, you read that right... Dave and I got engaged! I'm sure most of you aren't surprised, we've been talking about it for a while. But, now it's official. I will post more details soon. We're meeting with our Rabbi today and starting to look at dates and venues. I'm sure it will be a great adventure. And, we're just thrilled, as I'm sure you can imagine.

happy Cal anniversary to ME!
Even though I was not at work today, it is the official one-year anniversary of me working at UC Berkeley! Woo hoo!
I started off in the School of Social Welfare doing graduate admissions and now I am an advisor in the Psychology Department.

The Party Is Over
Do you even recognize the establishment pictured below??? (HINT: look at the neon balloons in the window) It's the new Party Sushi!!! Can you believe it?
It's out with the old and in with the new for a well-known Berkeley haunt called Party Sushi. New menus (without fruit sushi - boo hoo), new higher prices, new decor... thank god the food was good at least because we were initially devastated. It's the end of an era.
Pictured below is Dave a couple of years ago at his birthday dinner. We often celebrated at Party Sushi because the sushi was good, cheap, and the place was already decorated for you!

alright people, it's New Years Resolution time!
we all must know by now what my new years resolution tradition is... to learn how to cook something new each year. i won't go into why learning one new thing each year is such a feat... feel free to review if you so please:
Resolution 2005
Resolution 2006
Resolution 2007
and now, for my 2008 resolution(s)* DRUMROLL PLEASE!
Pad See Ew
and Curry Noodle Soup
*since I've been so successful with my New Years Resolutions in the past, it was suggested to me that this year I attempt to learn not one, but TWO new dishes! we'll see how it goes.
