according to this article, there are certain foods one can eat to help them fall asleep. i always appreciate little insights like this, although some of them are obvious. and, i always assumed it was just easier to fall asleep with a full belly rather than an empty one in general.

good thing we played the wii tonight... we may have been able to burn off some of the lasagne we ate. apparently, playing the wii can lead to some weight loss. there is even a wii workout website out there. and, zefrank has a cute clip of himself playing the wii.

what to blog about

so i'm sitting here deciding what to blog about and i realized something... have you noticed that all week my posts have been random pictures or random news articles? that's because my day to day life is not exciting anymore. like everyone else in this world who has fallen into "this is what i have to do to live" mode, i go to work every day. i sit in an office all day long.

i don't have funny quotes to blog, i don't have pictures of my life anymore because i don't take any pictures of my desk. it's not even *my* desk. it is just some desk that i sit at every day all day long.

i ride my bike to work, that's lovely, the people there are very nice, that makes the day bearable, but i don't get to have any more daily adventures. i could tell you exactly how my day will be tomorrow before it even happens... it's that predicable. so, i apologize in advance if my posts are only mildly interesting and not really about me. maybe my blog should turn into a "weekend blog" until i get my own exciting adventuresome life back?

My 2007 Resolution

so i blogged about my new years resolution tradition but never announced what my new 2007 goal would be... drum roll please... Ma Po Tofu! it's been my favorite chinese dish for years but it seems so hard to create. maybe i'll have to go to Great China and try theirs out for inspiration. :)

My official last day of unemployment... for now

I contemplated announcing this earlier but decided to wait. But, since today is my last day of being unemployed it's as good a time as any.

On Monday I start working at UC Berkeley as an Admissions Advisor for the School of Social Welfare. My contract is only through April as of now because I'm filling in for someone going on maternity leave. I'll keep you posted as to how things go.


It's Friday today, right? I guess I should start being one of those people who get excited about Fridays again.

Where is my favorite show!!!?

it's Thursday night and i'm sick of the grey's anatomy reruns. there has not been a new episode since the last week in november. it's just so rude to get people hooked on a show and then take it away from them so abruptly! i never thought giving something up cold turkey like that would be so awful! there should be a new episode next week... i just have to hang on for one more week.
